Great news for all Alan Partridge fans, he’s back! Steve Coogan is to reprise his role of Partridge for a series of ten episodes, promoted by the beverage company Fosters, to be shown on the internet.
The first twelve minute “Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge”, will be shown on the Fosters Funny website at 11:00 this Friday.
Fosters are trying to persuade writers and comedians to revive classic British comedies on the internet. Steve Coogan will be the first of their initiative after reportedly being offered a large amount of cash by the Australian Company.
I just hope the internet series will be as funny as the TV series.

As they say:
“A little pricey, but ’stella’ great lager”
is this great lager, Stella Artois, what you’d call ‘a real drink’?
According to some it is, when compared to something like the Long Island Iced Tea cocktail we wrote about yesterday. Now, what is wrong with the odd cocktail? And this one in particular is hardly a girlie cocktail, multi-coloured with umbrellas and stuff sticking out of it. You try drinking a few of those compared with a few Stella Artois, then tell me it’s not a real drink!
Stella Artois was in fact introduced firstly as a Christmas lager, a mere gimmick. However, it proved so popular with the Belgians that it became a main stay. The original tax records for this lager show it originated around 1366, so maybe those that say it’s the only real drink ought to get with the times.. or maybe I’m just bitter?
